Dietrick's mechanical room is full of machinery and pretty cool. The bulk of the equipment appears to be used for air conditioning. There's also a bit of machinery that uses the steam that runs into the building, though, since Dietrick does use steam for cooking, cleaning, heating, and sterilizing.
There's also a door from the mechanical room that leads into the crawlspace. Detrick's crawlspace is a pretty wide open area, with junk scattered about it. There are also a few pipes that run through it. Next to the door, there's a fire alarm with a large horn attached; I presume this is because the small fire alarm did not meet code for the entire room, so they just attached a large horn to it to get it up to code.
